The short version: The MFC desktop application runs fully offline and collects zero data from your machine. We only store the minimal information needed to process your purchase, deliver your license, and provide support. We never sell your data.
Psyrcuit LLC ("Psyrcuit," "we," "us," or "our") operates the MFC (Metal Finishing Calculator) software and website at mfc.psyrcuit.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with our products and services.
The MFC application collects no data. It runs entirely offline on your local machine. It does not transmit any information to Psyrcuit or any third party. It does not include telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.
All estimation data — including part dimensions, surface area calculations, process specifications, pricing, and generated quotes — remains exclusively on your machine. This architecture is by design, supporting ITAR, CUI, and CMMC compliance requirements.
The only network activity related to the MFC application is the initial license activation (a one-time process that transmits only your MAC address to generate your license key) and optional license transfers.
When you interact with our website and services (not the desktop application), we may collect the following information:
Purchase Information: When you purchase a license, we collect your email address and payment information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers.
License Activation Data: During activation, we receive the MAC address of the computer where MFC will be installed. This is used solely to generate your unique license key.
Support Communications: When you contact us via email (mfc.support@, mfc.sales@, mfc.billing@), we retain the contents of those communications to provide support and improve our service.
Settings Files: If you use our 24/7 Instant Support service and submit a settings file for modification, we process the file contents to fulfill your request. Settings files are not retained after processing.
Phone Number: You may provide your phone number during the purchase process. If provided, your phone number is used exclusively for two-factor authentication (2FA) verification codes when accessing your account portal. We do not use your phone number for marketing, promotions, or any other purpose.
Company Information: You may optionally provide your company name and contact name during the purchase process. This information is used for order management and support.
We use the information we collect to: process and fulfill your license purchase; generate and deliver your license key; provide customer support (standard and 24/7 Instant Support); send transactional emails (activation links, license keys, app updates); send SMS verification codes for two-factor authentication (2FA) when you access your account portal; manage your support subscription; and communicate about product updates.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only with the following service providers as necessary to operate our business:
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy.
Resend: Transactional email delivery. Resend processes email addresses and message content to deliver emails on our behalf.
Twilio: SMS delivery for two-factor authentication. Twilio processes your phone number to deliver one-time verification codes. Twilio does not use your phone number for any purpose other than delivering messages on our behalf.
Anthropic (Claude API): AI support processing. When you use 24/7 Instant Support, your support email content and relevant account context are processed through the Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic does not use API inputs for training.
Google Workspace: Email hosting. Support and sales emails are routed through Google Workspace.
Customer account data (email addresses, order records, license records) is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon in the US East region. All database connections use SSL encryption. API keys and secrets are stored securely and never appear in source code.
We retain your purchase and license records for the lifetime of your license (perpetual). Support communications are retained to provide ongoing support context. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or financial compliance purposes.
You have the right to: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements); opt out of non-transactional communications.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional information applies to you.
Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract — to fulfill your license purchase and provide support services; (b) legitimate interest — to improve our products, prevent fraud, and communicate product updates; (c) consent — where you have opted in to specific communications or services.
Additional rights: In addition to the rights listed in Section 8, you have the right to: request portability of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format; restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances; object to processing based on legitimate interest; withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing).
Data transfers: Your personal data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Right to complain: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your personal data has been processed in violation of applicable law.
The MFC website (mfc.psyrcuit.com) does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. We do not use third-party analytics services. The website does not contain advertising pixels, social media trackers, or retargeting scripts.
MFC is professional software designed for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email to existing customers.
By providing your phone number during the MFC license purchase process, you consent to receiving SMS messages from Psyrcuit LLC containing one-time verification codes for two-factor authentication (2FA) when accessing your account portal. These messages are transactional and security-related only.
Message frequency: SMS messages are sent only when you initiate an account action requiring identity verification. We do not send marketing, promotional, or recurring messages.
Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
Opt-out: You may reply STOP to any SMS message to opt out of receiving verification codes via SMS. Note that opting out of SMS will require you to use voice call verification instead. You may also contact mfc.support@psyrcuit.com to update your preferences.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is shared only with Twilio for the purpose of delivering verification codes.
